Since the beginning of 2020, we have balanced on the cusp of a huge global shift. The conjunction of Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter in Capricorn suggested a dismantling of the structure of society. No one knew the dismantling would be initiated by a global virus, but that is what happened.
The key word here is “global.” We are entering the Age of Aquarius, the sign of the collective. The invasion of Ukraine by Russia is initiating a global response; countries, corporations, and individuals are condemning Vladimir Putin’s actions and consigning Russia to the status of a pariah state. There are still a sizeable number of outliers who prefer to focus on the sins and omissions of the United States (there are many), rather than embracing the democratic ideal as preferable to autocratic fascism.
Venus – the principle of values – and Mars – the principle of action – have conjoined in Capricorn since the beginning of February. This conjunction addresses the necessity of manifesting an external structure that is in alignment with what we want to receive. Over the last week, these two have moved into a conjunction with Pluto, God of Death and Rebirth, activating hugely destructive yet also transformative energy.
Early on March 6 (EST), Mars and Venus will enter Aquarius. There is opportunity here for a new level of creative action. Although we cannot know the end result of these difficult times, there is potential for global agreements that can form the basis of a cooperative planetary system.
We are One Planet, comprised of a diverse collection of races, cultures, and languages. The majority want peace, safety, and a good life for themselves and their children. As we create a new structural container for Earth, may we remember this truth.
