Venus Stationary & Mercury enters Gemini

Venus turns retrograde once every 18 months for approximately six weeks at a time. These periodic retrograde journeys give us an opportunity to revisit our belief system and ask ourselves if our values are in alignment with our internal compass. During this retrograde journey, Venus is in the air sign Gemini.

In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Venus is aligned with Isis, the Queen Mother of Heaven. Gemini is aligned with The Sphinx, the earth altar whose task is to energetically connect our planet to the Great Star Nations.

This station finds Venus in a challenging relationship to Neptune – Nephthys, Keeper of the Mysteries Behind the Veils. We enter this period experiencing collective doubt and confusion around information and truth – a Gemini concern.

Added to the mix is the entry of Mercury, the principle of communication, into Gemini. Thoth, the Sacred Scribe, is also emanating through The Great Sphinx. Disagreeing voices clamor for our attention, all claiming to know the truth.

Out of this atmosphere of doubt, distrust and confusion, a new set of priorities can emerge. Before we reach that point, however, we may experience feelings of overwhelm and anxiety as we listen to loud proclamations about what is real, what is true, and what matters most. Spend this time going inward to check in with your soul’s voice and ask yourself the question – what matters most to me? What is my truth?

Venus/Isis is currently stationary at Gemini 21°50’, turning retrograde on May 12/13. Venus will remain retrograde until June 24/25. Mercury/Thoth will remain in the emanation of Gemini/The Sphinx until May 28. May 11, 2020 by Ruby Falconer. Available for chart readings.
