Full Moon at Scorpio 17°20’, 6:45 am EDT on May 7, 2020.
Passionate, wild, and an orgasmic orgy of emotional intensity, the Scorpio Full Moon is naturally the most intense of all Full Moons. This year, the powerful Great Shift energy is still in effect with Pluto now retrograde and Saturn, Jupiter and Venus slowing to station. This next week will bring a dynamic combination of frustration, outrage, and disbelief as the full extent of our situation continues to reveal itself.
In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Scorpio is aligned with Bast, the sensual cat goddess. Bast is the awakener of our Holy Longing. This is the yearning deep within for something unknown yet mysteriously attractive. Connecting with this longing inspires us to take a risk – make that leap we’ve sometimes considered but never believed we could actually manifest. Our Holy Longing is the voice of our soul, and when we act on this impulse, we override the fears of our ego and move toward that which will fulfill us in the core of our being. There’s nothing practical or safe about this energy. This is the urge to howl at the Moon and dare to be different. Our instinctual self comes forth and we feel compelled to dive into divine insanity.
During this Full Moon Window, connect with the wild forces of the night. Tilt your head back and howl at the Moon, dance in the night, give full rein to your passions. Our world is changing and your wild instinctual self is needed to carry you into the next version of yourself. This is life force energy and connecting with it will awaken your senses and free you from fear. It’s good to be alive.
The Scorpio Full Moon window extends from the night of May 5 through May 8. Saturn turns retrograde on May 10/11, Venus on May 12/13 and Jupiter on May 14.
