Libra Full Moon

April 6, 2023: Full Moon at Libra 16°07’, 12:34 am EDT.

A Full Moon describes a crescendo of energy personified by the concerns of opposing signs. This Full Moon opposition describes a strong desire for individual freedom (Aries) and an equally fervent longing for cooperative relationship (Libra).

There is collective wounding around this issue. Chiron – the Wounded Healer and the astrological symbol associated with deep wounding - is in a tight conjunction to the Aries Sun. Jupiter is also in Aries, aligned with the Sun and Chiron. Jupiter expands whatever it contacts. Competition, aggression, enthusiasm, and the confidence required for a successful warrior stance - these qualities are amplified at this Full Moon. The counterpoint - conciliatory Libra - is taking a back seat.

With this Libra Full Moon, we enter the last phase of our current eclipse cycle. The April 19 New Moon - a second Aries New Moon and a Solar Eclipse – will mark our entry into the portal leading to a new phase of experience. These are the final days of a chapter begun November 7/8, 2022. Much has changed in the last five months. Saturn and Pluto have entered new signs (Pisces and Aquarius), creating an energetic shift that many feel but do not understand. More will be revealed.

Beneath the powerful emotions of a Full Moon lies a deep desire for a reconciliation between opposites. This reconciliation creates something new; in this case, a focused determination to create balance and harmony. How can you make cooperative relationship the goal in your own life, without falling into either aggression or codependency? During this Full Moon window, set your intention to become something that may seem to be an oxymoron – a Warrior for Love. Meditate on what this means to you.
