Mars in Aquarius

Mars in Aquarius is a fierce warrior, dedicated to his role as the protector of the collective yet detached on a personal level. Cool, calm and collected is the hallmark of this position. In its shadow, Mars in Aquarius can be detached to the point of ruthlessness. This warrior will not allow emotion to stop him from taking action.

With Saturn having recently moved into Aquarius (March 21), collective issues are at the forefront. The sign Aquarius is defined by a tug of war between the rights and needs of the collective versus the rights and needs of the individual. For Aquarius, the concerns of the group are paramount. Yet all collective intentions must consider individual diversity in order to be effective.

In the weeks ahead, there is an opportunity for cohesive action, both on the global stage as well as nationally. This is particularly relevant as we continue to deal with Covid-19, an ailment that does not acknowledge national or state boundaries. A united effort will be required to win the battle against this coronavirus. Mars in Aquarius is particularly equipped to lead the charge.

In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Mars is Set, The Warrior King. Aquarius is Ptah, the Creator of Heaven and Earth. We will be wise to heed the archetypal message of Ptah. Ptah created our world through words he spoke and his tongue is connected to his heart. His message is that all our thoughts, ideas and words must come from a place of Love. If we create only from our minds, with no consideration of how our efforts affect other creatures and our planet, we can do great damage. This is a timely reminder as we move forward in our battle with Covid-19.

Mars/Set will remain in the emanation of Aquarius/Ptah until May 12/13.
