Contradictions, disagreements, and a confusion of ideas has been the hallmark of this Venus retrograde period. This phase began on May 12, at the height of the United States coronavirus response. We have been subject to a wide array of opinions, often proclaimed loudly and with great insistence. In this chaos of conflicting truths, it has been easy to feel overwhelmed.
In traditional astrology, Venus is values – that which we want to receive. Gemini represents the realm of ideas and information. Venus in Gemini is fluid – this position wants the freedom to move through a dynamic mix of ideas and experience. During this retrograde period external movement has been limited, creating frustration but also providing an opportunity to examine what we most value.
In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Venus is aligned with Isis, Queen Mother of Heaven. Gemini is aligned with The Sphinx, the Earth Altar. Isis in the emanation of The Sphinx wants to serve as an energetic bridge between Earth and The Great Above. When we are in right relationship with this process, we are as a hollow reed. There is no confusion. We know what is true for us and we are crystal clear about what we want to receive.
Over the next few days, take some time to go inward and focus on what is important to you. There may be some part of your life that needs to change – something you need to do differently to better align your experience with your values.
