October 6, 2025:  Full Moon at Aries 14°08’, 11:48 pm EDT.

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and describes the great desire of the individual to exist. The tension of this Full Moon is defined by opposing Libra; the equally great desire to be in relationship.

This is the first Full Moon after the eclipse portal, the beginning of a new phase of experience. The freedom to experience newness – new places, people, expressions - is prized by Aries. Relationships require negotiation which confines personal freedom. Aries does not like compromise; Libra cannot exist without it. How can one be truly oneself and also be in relationship with others?

The great mini-trine is still in effect (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto – with Saturn now in Pisces and still aligned with Neptune) and remains the defining pattern of this time of chaos and transformation. Venus is moving into relationship with all four, forming the familiar kite pattern. Mercury is now in Scorpio and in a square to Pluto, which is slowing to station and will soon (October 13) turn direct. Mercury is also in relationship to both Uranus and Neptune – two quincunxes forming a yod. Mercury in Scorpio is the detective who dives deep in order to find the truth. Mercury in Scorpio square to Pluto describes the use of words to destroy. This is not a place of negotiation even when compromise is what is most needed.

In traditional astrology, Aries is the Warrior - focused, ruthless, and cruel. In the Egyptian pantheon, Aries is allied with Kephera, the Spiral Dancer, symbolized by the scarab. The scarab is the Egyptian symbol for the cyclical nature of life - birth, life, death, rebirth. In Egyptian myth, Kephera is the rising Sun and brings a new beginning rich with potential.

This Full Moon will be bumpy. Strive to be kind, and forgive yourself if you are not. You can always begin again.
