Astrology Highlights of 2025

Writer's picture: Ruby FalconerRuby Falconer

Our planet is in the midst of a huge transition. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are gradually moving into new signs. While these planets affect us personally through aspects to the inner planets, they also operate at a collective level. They describe the events we collectively experience.

Over the last two years, Pluto transited back and forth over the cusp of Capricorn/Aquarius, moving firmly into Aquarius on November 19. In 2025, Uranus and Neptune will begin their transition to new signs and therefore new elemental expressions. Neptune will move into Aries; Uranus into Gemini.

Key dates:

-     March 30 – Neptune moves into Aries;

-     May 24 – Saturn into Aries and into a conjunction with Neptune which will continue through the year;

-     June 15 – Jupiter moves through the third and final exact square to Saturn; Mars simultaneously squares Uranus;

-     June 18 – Jupiter squares Neptune;

-     July 7 – Uranus enters Gemini – all three of the outer planets are now in new signs and in a harmonious relationship;

-     September 1 - Saturn retrogrades back into Pisces;

-     October 22 – Neptune retrogrades back into Pisces;

-     November 7 – Uranus retrogrades back into Taurus.

The summer will provide a taste of the new energy that will dominate 2026 and beyond. 2025 will end with a similar energetic feel as now.

We have lived our lives in an interface (as Alice O. Howell calls it) between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius. This interface has been marked by the qualities of both Pisces and Aquarius and has been in effect since the discovery of Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) in 1781. As we have come closer to crossing over into domination by the sign Aquarius, we have experienced an acceleration of technological advances. We are now slowly moving out of the interface and into a future that will be defined by technologies both wondrous and terrifying.
