Capricorn Full Moon

June 24, 2021 – Full Moon at 3°28’ Capricorn, 2:40 pm EDT.

Since we stepped out of the portal at the June 10 Solar Eclipse, we’ve experienced a series of astrological events - the Solstice (June 20/21), Jupiter turning retrograde (June 20th), Mercury direct (the 22nd), and Neptune turning retrograde on the 25th. We enter our Full Moon window with all three of these planets stationary, generating a feeling of hovering in space, waiting for the next phase to begin. It is time to consider what we want to create for the next phase. This creation will require a structure.

In traditional astrology, the primary concern of Capricorn is structure and form. This earth sign refers to the rules by which a society is run. We agree to all drive on the same side of the road, stop at red lights, and stand in lines. Capricorn is also the tools a society uses to enforce the rules – the police, the courts, the judges, and juries. A healthy society has a flexible structure – one that can bend and change according to the needs of the people who live within it.

In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Capricorn is allied with Khnum, the god who created the humans and animals of the Earth on his potter’s wheel. Whenever we go through a period of transformation and change, Khnum invites us back onto his wheel so he can adjust our form in order to better accommodate changes in substance.

This Full Moon is a good time to consider what changes in form you need. Does your space at home or work need adjustment? Is there a routine that needs to change? Are you doing something out of habit that is no longer useful? Take time during this Full Moon window to check in with your inner guidance and see what will most support you in the days and weeks ahead.
