After a long month of traveling through the portal between the worlds, we have arrived at the end of the tunnel. With this partial Lunar Eclipse, we exit into a new phase of experience which will last until the next eclipse series at the end of this year (November 30 – December 14).
This Full Moon window is highlighted by the resumption of the triple conjunction of Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn in Capricorn, and by the prominence of Chiron. In traditional astrology, Chiron is the Wounded Healer. In Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Chiron is allied with Anubis, the Shower of the Way. In this Full Moon chart, Chiron is slowing to station in an alignment with Warrior Mars and square to retrograde Mercury, and forming a T-square with the Full Moon opposition.
In their respective myths, Chiron and Anubis are both abandoned children. Their path to maturity begins with an acknowledgment of the piercing stab of betrayal. This symbolism invokes the concept that our wounds are our gifts, but we cannot know this until we fully feel and release our pain. Only then can we emerge into our greatness.
The Star Energies are strong during this Full Moon. Some of our brightest and most powerful Stars are prominent in this chart: Sirius, Pollux, Spica, Arcturus and - in alignment to the North Node (the goal of our journey) - Betelgeuse and Polaris. We are not alone. We have support from many realms and, if we choose, we can support each other.
During this Full Moon window, take time to sit under the night sky canopy. Find a Star and open to this portal from another realm. You may receive a message of compassionate encouragement as you prepare to exit the underworld and enter your next phase of experience on Planet Earth.
This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse takes place on July 5, 2020 at Capricorn 13°38’, 12:44 am EDT.
