July 7, 2025: Uranus Enters Gemini

Uranus – ruler of science and technology, symbol of unpredictability, explosive energy, wild rides and sudden changes - is beginning its transition into the air sign Gemini. Gemini represents the fluidity of the mind – curiosity, experimentation, intuitive shifts and changes.

In Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Uranus is allied with Wadjet, the Cobra Kundalini Queen. To the ancient Egyptians, Wadjet was a symbol of fierce protection against evil and was – with Nekhbet – nursemaid and teacher to the young pharaoh. The teachings of Wadjet revolved around the right use of life force energy, also called kundalini. In ancient Egypt, the cobra was associated with kundalini energy – a blend of fierceness and sexuality that is the motor of life. Without strong kundalini there can be no effective manifestation.

Uranus/Wadjet in Gemini suggests massive changes in communication technologies corresponding with unexpected events. Uranus stays in a sign of the Zodiac for 7 to 8 years; it’s orbit around the Sun is 84 years. The last time Uranus was in Gemini was from 1941 to 1948. World War II brought the dedication of massive resources toward advancing a variety of technologies, including communications. These advances transformed peacetime society. This push to create included the development of the atomic bomb and the resulting destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a fiery holocaust also typical of Uranus/Wadjet.

Think of the possibilities of artificial intelligence and the advances it can bring to science and technology. Then think of the dangers of this tool rapidly exploding in our world. This initial movement of Uranus/Wadjet into Gemini will give us a taste of what is to come.

Uranus will retrograde back into Taurus on November 7 and move back to Gemini on April 25, 2025 until May 22, 2033.
