Libra New Moon & Pluto Stationary
October 6, 2021: New Moon at Libra 13°25, 7:05 am EDT.
Pluto stationary is always intense. The Lord of the Underworld is a powerful agent of change and his arsenal of tools are not gentle. This is transformation via dynamite, bombs, volcanoes, and eruptions from the deep subconscious.
In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Pluto is Osiris, Lord of Regeneration. In his myth, Osiris is twice killed by his brother Set. Out of his death a child is born – Horus the Young King. In modern astrology, Pluto has become symbolic of the eternal cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. Out of death comes life; out of life comes death.
At this Dark Moon, Pluto is stationary, turning direct a few hours after the exact New Moon and still in its T-square with Mercury retrograde and Eris, Goddess of Strife and Discord. The New Moon conjunction of Sun and Moon is in a same degree alignment with Mars – Set, the Warrior King - the principle of anger and manifestation. These three are on the 13th degree of Libra, opposite Chiron, the Wounded Healer. The Saturn/Uranus square remains in the background. This astrological brew brings a potential for unpleasantness and even aggression in the sphere of relationships.
Between the New Moon and the October 20 Aries Full Moon, Saturn will turn direct (October 10) and begin to journey back to the third and final exact square with Uranus (December 24). Jupiter and Mercury will turn direct (October 17/18). Mars/Set will be a player throughout these two weeks, gradually moving into his own T-square with the Full Moon opposition and Pluto/Osiris.
Old forms must be torn down for new life to be born, a process that is inherently contentious, chaotic, and explosive. Do not avoid speaking your truth but do so with conscious care. There are minefields all around.
