Mars in Taurus

Updated: Apr 3, 2021

In traditional astrology, Taurus is the sign of resources – our bodies, money, talents, abilities, things. Mars in Taurus natives are manifestors and make a powerful impact on their surroundings. This individual is a force to be reckoned with.

In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Mars is allied with Set, the Warrior King. This Warrior is focused, grounded, determined, powerful, and – in his shadow – ruthless beyond measure.

Taurus is allied with Hathor, the ultimate Earth Goddess. Hathor loves the Earth, its creatures and everything about being in a body. From a collective perspective, Mars/Set in the emanation of Taurus/Hathor focuses attention on the economy, weather events, and all other Earth matters.

It is important to note that this entry of Mars into Taurus comes after a 6 ½ month journey of Mars through Aries. Mars in Aries is an initiator. Mars in Taurus takes what has been initiated by Aries and grounds it in physical reality. Over the next few weeks Mars will move through challenging relationships to Saturn, Uranus, and Jupiter. Yesterday - January 6 – Mars moved from Aries into Taurus, paralleling the invasion of the Capitol building by a group of Trump supporters. On Inauguration Day – January 20 – Mars and Uranus will conjunct, an unpredictable and potentially explosive combination. This alignment can manifest in a variety of ways ranging from a politically explosive situation to a weather or Earth event (earthquakes, volcanic eruption). Regardless of manifestation, expect this to be a volatile period.

Mars/Set will be in the emanation of Taurus/Hathor from January 6 through March 3.
