Mercury is stationary, turning direct in the air sign Aquarius on February 20. Stationary planets reflect a shift in the collective energy flow, in this case away from internal contemplation and toward implementation. It is time to begin directing our dreams into action in creative new ways.
Aquarius is the sign of the visionary, dedicated to planetary service. In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Aquarius is allied with Ptah, creator of Heaven and Earth. Mercury is allied with Thoth, the Sacred Scribe. The invitation of the last three weeks has been to reflect on the relationship between our thoughts, words, and actions and to examine any way in which these three need to be brought into better alignment. With this station of Mercury, it is time to implement these changes in our outer world.
