Neptune Retrogrades into Pisces

The water sign Pisces is ruled by Neptune, and this sign and ruling planet are like two peas in a pod. Both are associated with higher spirituality, intuition, inspiration, and also confusion and delusion. Neptune in Pisces has brought plenty of all. Neptune is now moving into Aries; a transition happening in stages. This present movement back into Pisces is a revisit for Neptune, and it is important.

Pisces is associated with the disintegration of existing forms, and disintegration has been the theme of the last 14 years. For the last seven months, Neptune has been in a conjunction with Saturn. Visionary Neptune and constraining Saturn have been working on – and against - each other. Neptune envisions new things and Saturn creates new containers for that vision while also restricting its expression. Conversely, Neptune dissolves away the container that Saturn is striving to hold. Nothing substantive can result when these energies are in play although both visions and resistance are abundant.

The movement of Saturn and Neptune back into Pisces will bring one last dose of this confusing interplay between vision and structure. It is unlikely that much will be achieved over the next four months as these two revisit the watery realm, although there will be an abundance of imagination and illusion, new beginnings and resistance, disintegration and creation. This will continue until May when the wheel turns once again; both will be back in Aries and moving out of conjunction. New creation will begin in earnest.

On March 30, Neptune left Pisces and transited into Aries. On July 4, Neptune turned retrograde in Aries. On October 22 Neptune slides back into Pisces for its final visit where it will remain until January 26.
