Neptune Stationary, Turning Retrograde.

Neptune is the planet of intuition, imagination, cosmic consciousness, and higher spirituality. In its shadow, Neptune is illusion, confusion and delusion. In the Egyptian pantheon, Neptune is allied with Nephthys, Keeper of the Mysteries Behind the Veils. Nephthys is the sister of Isis, consort of Set, lover of Osiris, mother of Anubis. She is a complicated figure – a lunar goddess of magic and mystery, both loyal and a betrayer.
Transits of Neptune/Nephthys awaken magic. This is the message from another dimension that shows up in dreams and meditations - the disembodied voice, the fleeting glimpse of an apparition. When Nephthys is strong, the veils are thin. Many discount her magic, only to realize later they had been encouraged in some way – or perhaps warned.
Neptune is one of the three planets (along with Uranus and Pluto) discovered after the invention of the telescope. Because they are further out in the solar system, these planets stay in a sign of the zodiac for an extended period of time. From 2023 to the spring of 2026 all three of these planets are moving into new signs, making these years particularly intense and transformational.
This station of Neptune is amplified by the on-going conjunction of Neptune to Saturn (March 2025 until the spring of next year). Much of this conjunction will take place in Aries – Neptune’s new sign. “Newness” is the theme – new ideas, new structures, new experiences – and there is confusion as to what is emerging from behind the veils. We’re looking at a kaleidoscope – just as we think we see the picture, it fades away and something else comes into focus. Be patient; allow the visions to wash over you and wait for your new reality to emerge.
Neptune/Nephthys will turn retrograde on July 4, at 5:34 pm EDT, and will turn direct on December 10.
