New Moon in Aquarius

Updated: Apr 3, 2021

New Moon at Aquarius 23°17’, February 11, 2021, 2:06 pm EST.

During this Dark Moon, six of the seven solar system objects visible to the naked eye are in the air sign Aquarius - Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn. Only Warrior Mars is in a different sign (Taurus), and in a challenging relationship (a square) to the New Moon conjunction. Saturn in Aquarius moves ever closer to its exact square to Uranus (February 17), also in Taurus. The theme of this Moon cycle is simple and clear – the visionary momentum is strong yet so are the blocks to manifestation.

We are heavy with new life and stuck in an old form. We struggle, yet it does not release us. We push and thrash, throw ourselves us against this barrier, demanding to be set free. Yet the form will not allow itself to be cast off until it’s protective job is complete. It is not yet time.

Oh, but while we wait, we can vision and dream! What do we want this new life to be? What will give us the greatest joy - for ourselves, for those we love, for our world? How can we nurture this burgeoning life force so that when it is time for the restricting bonds to break, we can spring forth into this new version of ourselves? This Dark Moon is a time to dream the world we want – to see it clearly and mold the vision as we wait for the shift that will release us from our bonds.
