Full Moon at Scorpio 7°06’, April 26, 2021 at 11:32 pm EDT.
Sensual, sexual, and mysterious, the Scorpio Full Moon envelopes us in a magical intensity. This is the Wild Moon, calling us into the night, hidden from the prying eyes of daylight. Our animal nature rises to the surface – the sensual, sinuous creature within who slinks through the shadows, ears attuned to the sounds of the night.
In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Scorpio is allied with the cat goddess Bast. Bast is an erotic goddess; she uses her sensuality to awaken our Holy Longing. This is the fire in our loins, a longing that pushes us through our usual constraints and awakens our desire to escape the confinement of the ordinary.
This Full Moon is activating the on-going Saturn/Uranus square. The Scorpio Moon is in a t-square with Sun conjunct Uranus and Saturn. There are four planets in Taurus (Sun, Uranus, Venus, Mercury) so we have plenty of fixed sign energy. Power struggles happen when fixed sign energy is prominent so be aware in your interactions with others. Pluto – ruler of Scorpio – is stationary. In Egyptian myth, this is Osiris, archetype of the eternal cycle of birth, life, death, rebirth. The doorway to the underworld is open and the veils between the worlds are thin.
The theme of this Full Moon is Death and Rebirth. Many of us fear death; this fear leads us to resist change. During this Full Moon, go out under the Moon and commune with the wild goddess Bast. How like a wolf, purr like a cat, and open your body and soul to your Holy Longing. Let that yearning pull you toward and through whatever it is that needs to die so that you can transform into something new. Take a risk, an unfettered leap into the void so you can be reborn into the light.
The Scorpio Full Moon Window is strongest during the nights of April 25, 26 and 27.
