November 20, 2025:  New Moon at Scorpio 28°12’, 1:47 am EST.

This New Moon is defined by a same-degree conjunction with Mercury; all three (Sun/Moon/Mercury) are opposite Uranus. Scorpio is a sign that digs deep under the surface to find the truth. Throughout this Moon month, long-denied truths will surface from deep within our subconscious; many of these truths will be shocking and disruptive to our established perceptions of reality.

The New Moon chart is dominated by planetary patterns commonly considered to be positive: a Grand Trine with two Kites and a Mystic Rectangle. These are patterns of harmony and flow but the question can be asked: What does harmony and flow mean in a dualistic world? In truth, one person’s grace is another person’s trauma. The English language has many aphorisms that express this concept. “Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.” “One person’s trash is another person’s treasure.” “Different strokes for different folks.” And, ultimately, “To each their own.” How can we find harmony in a world of opposing values and viewpoints? And what does this chart – which is heavy on the harmony – tell us about our present time?

This chart reflects an expansive flow of water energy suggesting we are experiencing intense feelings punctuated by powerful emotional waves. A T-square involving Jupiter opposite Pluto with both square to Eris/Chiron suggests that deep emotional healing will result from transformational upheavals, and this energy is challenging. There are opportunities for expansion, but at the moment expansion is blocked.

The opportunity of this Dark Moon is to be still and wait for the truth to emerge out of the darkness. But once you see your truth, don’t expect others to see what you see. Know what you know and accept the same from others.
