Sun in Aquarius

Updated: Apr 3, 2021

Aquarius is the sign of the fully integrated collective. Natives of this sign are observant, intelligent, and focused on the future. These are the visionaries of our world and are often found working in the fields of science and technology. These individuals enjoy working on a team but when it comes to intimate relationships, they sometimes feel challenged. While comfortable in the world of ideas, emotional vulnerability is not their forte.

In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Aquarius is aligned with Ptah, the creator of Heaven and Earth. Ptah created our world with the words that he spoke; his tongue is connected to his heart. He created our world through love. So too, all our creations must come from love. We can achieve great technological and scientific advances, but if they injure people, animals, and our planet then what true value do they have? Ptah reminds us that our thoughts and words create our external reality and all we create must be run through our heart.

We now have four planets in Aquarius: Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn. While Aquarius is the sign of the collective, it’s opposite – Leo – is the sign of the individual. As we move into the Aquarian Age, we meet a challenge in duality expressed by these two signs. How do we simultaneously honor the rights and needs of the collective and the rights and needs of the individual? Learning to do this will be a collective challenge and worth the effort. By holding conscious awareness of this dilemma, and remembering to run everything we think, say and manifest through our heart, we will create the world of our dreams.

The Sun will be in the emanation of Aquarius/Ptah from January 19 to February 18.
