May 20, 2025:  Sun enters Gemini, 2:55 pm EDT.

Gemini represents the awakening mind and curiosity is it’s hallmark. Gemini is the hummingbird sign. These natives flit from idea to idea and are naturally drawn to a variety of experiences. Curiosity is both a gift and a lesson; life is a dance for these individuals and boredom is deadly to their natural creativity.

Gemini is a mutable sign. The mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) are by nature fluid and all must deal with feelings of overwhelm. For Gemini, overwhelm comes through the mind. It is not uncommon for Gemini to experience an over-abundance of thoughts, sometimes rising to a feverish crescendo. Learning how to open their mind to messages from above without succumbing to anxiety is a major challenge.

In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Gemini is aligned with The Great Sphinx of Giza. A Sphinx is a hybrid being and functions as a connector of two opposing forces – an appropriate association with the sign of the twins. The Great Sphinx is an Earth Altar, as are all the sacred sites scattered around our planet. Their purpose is to draw cosmic energy down to the Earth. Those with Gemini strong in their chart carry this intention within their own bodies; they are – in essence - walking Earth Altars. It is their task to receive cosmic messages in the form of inspiration and to relay this information through teaching, writing, and art. Their challenge is to separate the intended information from the inevitable static. Cognitive training can help them discern what they are to receive and then transmit to others. Until they learn this through meditation and other techniques that quiet their overactive minds, they can fall prey to endless mind loops that create only anxiety.

The Sun will remain in the emanation of Gemini/The Sphinx until June 20.
