Light and airy, suffused with beauty and resplendent with color, the Goddess Isis is entering the emanation of Ma’at, the Egyptian goddess of truth, justice, and balance.
In traditional astrology, Venus describes what we value. Individuals born with this position have a strong appreciation of beauty and are gifted with a sense of symmetry and an eye for color. Harmony in relationships is important and these natives have the ability to see both sides of an argument. This ability to see the wisdom in all perspectives is a gift and it also makes it difficult for these individuals to take a stand, as they do not want to be the source of controversy. In its shadow, this predisposition leads to people pleasing, an attempt to be all things to all people, which creates a disconnection with one’s inner self.
Also on this day, Mercury (Thoth) is retrograding out of Scorpio and back into Libra. We will now have two of the three social planets in Libra (Mercury, Venus, and Mars are the social planets). Mars (Set) is in Aries, opposite to Libra. While Libra is the Peacemaker, Aries is the Warrior.
Mercury will turn direct on November 3, Election Day in the US, in a challenging relationship to Saturn (Sobek). As much as Venus in Libra longs for serenity and peace, it is not likely over the next few weeks. These are demanding times and the challenge will be to stand in our truth while holding an attitude of respect for other people, even if we do not accept their point of view. The message of Ma’at is not that conflict should be avoided, but rather that we remain true to our deepest values while simultaneously seeing the Bigger Picture. We all have a seat at this table.
Venus/Isis will remain in the emanation of Libra/Ma’at until November 21.
