Venus Stationary

Writer: Ruby FalconerRuby Falconer

March 1, 2025:  Venus Stationary, turning retrograde at Aries 10°50’.

Mars (creative action) completed its biennial retrograde phase on February 23. Now Venus (values) is stationary, preparing to turn retrograde. These two form the yin/yang polarity, both within and without.

The yin aspect (receptivity) is meant to be the director of all action within the human psyche. Our yin (Venus; values) determines what we love. Our yin aspect directs our yang (Mars; action) to manifest what our yin wants to receive.

Venus turns retrograde approximately every 18 months for about six weeks at a time. This period provides an opportunity to assess whether our professed values are in right relationship with our deepest sense of self. Venus is allied with the Egyptian goddess Isis, Queen Mother of Heaven. This is an appropriate designation for this goddess. Isis is powerful, confident, and incredibly nurturing. She goes to the ends of the Earth to defend those she loves. In traditional astrology, Venus is characterized as the planet of love, and an appropriate question to ask ourselves during Venus retrograde periods is, “Am I a living reflection of that which I love?”

During this retrograde period, Venus will move from Aries 10° to Pisces 25° and end its retrograde period in an alignment with Neptune. The invitation will be to meditate on what prevents us from manifesting that which we most value. Whatever it is, it is time to let it go.

Venus/Isis will be retrograde from March 1 to April 12.
