Virgo Full Moon

Updated: Apr 3, 2021

Full Moon at Virgo 8°57’, February 27, 2021, 3:17 am EST.

The Full Moon brings us into emotional relationship with the Opposite, which is why this time is often challenging. We feel the duality within, the emotional submergence in one aspect of self with the simultaneous pull of the opposite.

This Full Moon is in Virgo, the airiest of the Earth signs, and activates the opposition to Pisces, the wateriest of water signs. The oppositional energy is between submergence in the Void, and the need to make sense of a process that cannot be understood with the mind. We may feel we are flailing, fearing that we will be overcome and submerged by the relentless waters of emotion. It’s counterintuitive, but the best thing to do when one is lost at sea is just allow oneself to float.

Pisces is aligned with Sothis, the ultimate Star Goddess. Through communion with her we remember our star origins and can view reality from the biggest picture possible. Virgo is aligned with Nekhbet, the Crone Priestess who brings her logical perspective to all Earth matters. These two couldn’t be more different and yet they are allies on the Earth plane. They are both archetypes of Service. The question posed during this Full Moon is “How can I anchor my dreams in practical reality?”

During this Full Moon Window, dream your visions forward into manifestation. What needs to happen in your life for your dreams to manifest in form? We will soon be entering a new year-long cycle (Aries/Kehphera). Virgo/Nekhbet is about purification. What needs to be cleaned up in your life to support the expression of your Highest Self?
