Cancer New Moon

July 14, 2025:  New Moon at Cancer 21°59’, 5:44 am EDT.

July will provide plenty of opportunities for change. The Cancer New Moon is conjunct to Mercury retrograde (June 29 – July 23), square to shit-stirring Eris, and in a loose square to Saturn, currently slowing to station. The month ahead will bring a tide of rising emotions, triggering misunderstandings and failed communications. This is true on both a personal and collective level.

The ongoing Easy Trine continues to be locked onto the 4^th degree of compatible signs, suggesting that the three outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) are doing their jobs in a rare show of harmony. These three are the reflectors of change on our planet, and the change they reflect is initiated through death. Uranus operates through the unexpected, Neptune slowly dissolves the status quo, Pluto decimates the old. Each is hugely powerful on their own. When they are working in concert, as they are now, their power is amplified.

Jupiter, the principle of expansion, will soon be on the 4^th degree of Leo, turning the Easy Trine into a Basket Pattern anchored by an opposition of Jupiter to Pluto. This pattern is already in effect, and we are seeing its impact all around us; it will achieve its maximum power from July 18 to 23.

There is very little any of us can do in the face of a collective transit of such magnitude, but we can consider the effect on our own lives. Something that has been accepted as truth is being challenged in ways that can no longer be ignored. Change isn’t just on the horizon – it has landed firmly in your lap. The best way to get through these challenging times is to accept what is and adapt accordingly. If something needs to be released - let it go. If some action needs to be taken – take it now. The winds of change are at your back. Let go of resistance and allow.
