Gemini New Moon

May 22, 2020 – New Moon at Gemini 2°05’ at 1:39 pm EDT.

We enter this Dark Moon reeling from exposure to a chorus of conflicting voices, described astrologically by a challenging relationship between Mercury and Venus in a square to mysterious and confusing Neptune. Confusion, dissolution, disintegration and illusion are the harbingers of this New Moon period and it will be easy to lose our way in the darkness.

The Great Shift planets – an alignment of Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter – remain dominant. As we enter the Gemini New Moon, these three are all retrograde and still in conjunction. The Warrior King Mars – Set to the ancient Egyptians – is in Pisces, in a waning square to the New Moon conjunction.

This New Moon is particularly auspicious. It marks the beginning of the end of a phase of experience that began in January. The June 5th Full Moon will be a Lunar Eclipse, followed by a New Moon Solar Eclipse on the Solstice, and another Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on July 4. We will soon enter a new phase of collective experience that will last from July through December.

Neptune is prominent during this Dark Moon window. In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Neptune is allied with Nephthys, the Keeper of the Mysteries Behind the Veils. Under the cacophony of voices there is a deep stillness, rich with magic waiting to be revealed to those who willingly enter the darkness.

Spend some time in meditation during this Dark Moon (the three-day period surrounding the New Moon), sink below the collective madness and listen for guidance from your inner voice. Only you know what is true and real for you. Do not allow yourself to be pulled from your Sacred Path.
