Venus in Taurus

Venus - values and receptivity - has entered the earth sign Taurus - life force incarnate. Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac and refers to young life free from its protective container and growing rapidly.

In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Venus is associated with Isis, Queen Mother of Heaven. Taurus is aligned with Hathor, an ancient form of the Great Goddess. Hathor holds an exuberant love for all life on Earth – plants, animals and people. Her message is that enlightenment on Earth is not attained by focusing exclusively on cosmic and other dimensional realities but rather by bringing these energies down into form. We humans must learn what our animal companions already know; how to ground ourselves in our bodies and fully experience everything about being alive, both the pleasure and the pain.

There is a wildness about this aspect of the Goddess. These natives are instinctively sensual, with an appreciation of any experience that activates the senses. In their shadow, those with Taurus strong in their chart can be stubborn and retentive, sometimes confusing the acquisition of material resources with the pure joy of sensual embodiment.

During the journey of Venus/Isis through the emanation of Taurus/Hathor, revel in Hathor’s unconditional love. Give your beautiful body some attention - a massage, a bubble bath, a new comfortable chair. Stretch, love and appreciate your body; seek experiences that are both nurturing and a feast for the senses. Honor your body as the temple for your soul, and practice loving yourself as much as Hathor loves you.

Venus/Isis remains in Taurus/Hathor until April 3.
