Sun in Aquarius

Updated: Jan 24, 2022

Aquarius is the sign of the New Age. We see the manifestation of this new era through the technological and scientific advances that are uniting our world. These changes can bring us an amazing future as one planet, our cultural differences woven into a cooperative economic and governmental system. Alternatively, they may result in an authoritarian system ruling over a dystopian landscape. Both are possible during this entry into the 2600-year period that defines the Age of Aquarius.

The second half of the Zodiac describes the development of the collective, and Aquarius – the 11th sign – is where individuals coalesce into a unified body. Individuals born under this sign are visionaries with their eyes on the horizon. These are the inventors, scientists, and technological wizards of our world. These people like to work on a team, sharing leadership and contributing to a common goal. Aquarius is an air sign, and all the air signs are about the mind. In their shadow, these natives can be stuck in their head. When presented with an emotional issue, they may try to analyze it out of existence. Others may experience them as detached and disconnected from feelings.

In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Aquarius is aligned with Ptah, creator of Heaven and Earth. Ptah manifests his creations through his words and – most importantly – his tongue is connected to his heart. Herein we see the solution, both for individual Aquarians as well as for our planet. We can build amazing new technologies but if we do not manifest from a place of love these creations can do great damage to others and to our planet. Everything we create must come from love.

The Sun will remain in the emanation of Aquarius/Ptah from January 19 to February 18.
